We didn’t originally have much planned for today, which was lucky given it’s down to -11 deg C out there!  Another late start with heading to breakfast about 9am – which for us is unheard of as we normally are up at 530am or so.

We caught the subway over to Queens as there is a mall there with Cheesecake Factory. Just as we sat down to order we get the notification that our flight to Orlando on Monday morning 730am is cancelled.  Tim was straight into travel agent mode and we are rebooked 5 mins later onto the 9am. Fingers crossed we get out, we’ve got a Disney trip to get to!

Cheesecake Factory was fantastic as usual – we shared a breakfast burrito as this is the first time we’ve ever been for brunch there – it’s only available on weekends until 2pm so normally quite elusive!

A bit of browsing around – it was quiet for US weekend standards – must be the cold outside keeping all the sane people inside.  First up was Bath & Body Works – and I didn’t buy anything!  Then Primark as I had to buy more jeans.

We then stopped on the way back to Roosevelt Island which was really cute (and cold!!).  Took the tramway back to Manhattan.

By this stage we are really cold so got back to the hotel to use some credit on some beef sliders which are very delicious!

Club lounge drinks at 5pm and Tim drunk through to 8pm, but I couldn’t last the distance and needed a little nap.

Last step was a 930pm dash back out in the cold for a quick bite, which was ShakeShack in Grand Central Terminal.  For originally a quiet day it was quite busy!
