Today was our first port visit: Roatán, Honduras. The weather was overcast and drizzly, but the Yacht Club surprised us with ponchos “just in case,” which turned out to be very useful.
We started the morning with a hot tub soak and breakfast before heading off the ship to explore the port area. Our excursion was to Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout, and even though the government no longer allows guests to hold the sloths, it was still amazing to see them up close. It was very cold so they were keen to sleep. The birds and monkeys were incredibly interesting.

We were back onboard by lunchtime (with a sneaky lunch dessert this time) and spent the afternoon relaxing, complete with more hot tub time.

For dinner, we had Hola Tacos, the all‑you‑can‑eat Mexican restaurant, and the food was delicious. By the time we finished around 7pm, we were ready for a very early night – asleep by 8!
