Today we stopped at MSC’s private island, Ocean Cay. With the winds so high, it was about a 50/50 chance we wouldn’t make it to port, but the weather behaved and we arrived right on time. We started the morning enjoying beautiful views over the island, with some yummy french toast.

It was only 15 degrees when we got off around 8am, so we wrapped up warm and took a walk around the island. We found a great spot, the same one we loved last visit, where we relaxed in the sun with a few drinks while looking out over the beach. Later, we hopped on the Yacht Club golf buggy and headed to the island restaurant for lunch. We had a chicken burger, a beef burger, and a chickpea wrap, followed by a moist and delicious banana cake for dessert. After a quick swim, we made our way back to the ship for a chilled afternoon.

Tonight’s dinner was one we’d been looking forward to: The Butcher’s Cut. Every dish was delicious, and it was the perfect choice for our last night onboard. The rest of the evening was a well‑timed sequence of events — packing, the 7:15pm light show, and then the Queen Symphony performance. It was an awesome show and a fantastic way to end our final night on the ship.  The last time we were here we missed the light show as the winds picked up and we left the island early.  Very special!
