What a fantastic fight to New York! The crew were amazing, the food was delicious, and we continued to enjoy The Wickstead cocktail (a beautiful blackberry gin cocktail, which we ask to be made with soda rather than tonic)

First stop was the airport and we used our priority pass to grab a burger to share – and Tim got a cocktail. We headed to the Air NZ lounge for a quick stop before heading to the plane.

We both had the beef shortrib for dinner, which came with duck fat potatoes and a delicious side salad. 12 hours later after a relaxing sleep brunch was served before landing and we had the open steak sandwich – absolutely delicious!

We breezed through Customs and Border Patrol and caught the subway to the city. Checking into Intercontinental Barclay and we’ve been upgraded to a premium suite, woop woop!
A quick stop at the club lounge for a drink, the hotel bar for a shared chicken sandwich and salad, and then it was off to our evening relaxation…

We booked the late session to Bathhouse Flat Iron. We haven’t been there before, and it was awesome. It’s a subterranean bathhouse and has a great collection of hot and very very cold pools! We couldn’t take phones in so here is some stock photography.

Now it’s midnight and going to try and sleep through to the morning.
