Jet lag hit us at 4am, but forced ourselves to sleep again and before we knew it 7:30am and we had to jump out of bed to get to breakfast. Had to be at UN Security by 9 for our tour
The UN tour was very interesting, went through the various branches as well as getting to walk through the big rooms with some meetings in progress. One of them even had the UN Secretary General present, which apparently is very rare!
Next up was a beef burger shared and a small nap. I’m getting old!
We headed off to the subway at 3pm to get to Governors Island and to QC NY for a twilight soak. There is a massive storm coming over a large part of the US and it was bitterly cold. Running between pools felt like being in a deep freeze. They had a lovely special where you purchased 2 drinks and got a free nibbly platter, yum!
Caught the 930pm ferry back, grabbed some Five Guys and now it’s time to hibernate before the -6degC day hits tomorrow! Ooh -8 now according to the forecast, with -13 overnight!
